THE HARRELLS

Harvesting Souls for Christ

From the Start

In September of 1997, three friends got together to discuss a common vision. That vision was to serve God and help reach this world for Christ through gospel music. Thus, "The Harrells", was formed. Our focus is to minister and lead people to Jesus Christ. We have decided to go wherever God opens a door. The Group is based out of Colyell Louisiana and our music is primarily Southern Gospel. We welcome all opportunities to go and minister. There is
no charge for us to come. Love offerings are appreciated, but not
expected. The purpose of our Group is to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and give back as much as we can. Over the past nine years God has opened so many doors and has allowed us to fulfill the purpose that He has called us to. We have seen many people saved and Christians uplifted. That alone has made this journey well worth the effort. The Harrells have had the privilege of ministering with such groups as The Crabb Family,
The Perrys, The Stamps Quartet, The Southern Plainsmen, Pickin' Up The Pieces, Sacred Harmony, Hosanna, H.I.S. By Grace, HIS Glory and The
Florida Boys. We have just completed our latest project entitled "Glad
Reunion Day".

Darren Harrell (Piano and Vocals):

Darren has played the piano for about fifteen years. Darren is the Group
Pianist and arranges all of the music that the Group performs. Darren has about eleven years of group experience. He is a prolific songwriter and has written several songs that the Group performs. Darren works as a
Lineman for Dixie Electric Membership Corporation in Gonzales, Louisiana.

Testimony
"Like a lot of other people have, I have also walked the aisle and been
baptized when I was younger, not once, but twice. I just went through the motions. But, until I was 20 years old, I had not experienced what it was like
to actually be a real Christian. It all began when God had been dealing
with me for a while and I started to feel uneasy when I went to church. Well finally one evening while sitting at home God impressed upon me that I
needed to get saved, that I was lost. So I immediately called my pastor, Bro. Charles Bigner and asked if I could go and see him. And of course his reply was, "yes." As soon as I got to Bro Bigner's he asked me to come inside and
we sat at his kitchen table and opened the Bible to John 3:16 and as he read
it to me I began to cry. After reading the verse I got down on my knees and
that is when I prayed and asked Jesus to come into my heart and be the Lord
and Savior of my life. I prayed that God would send me a wife that sings. And
not only did he send a wife that sings, but He also blessed us with a
wonderful music ministry."

Laura Harrell (Vocals):
Biography
Darren's wife Laura also sings lead and harmony for the Group. Laura has
nine years of group experience, but has been involved with music most of her life. Laura also writes music and has assisted Darren on some of the songs that the Group performs. She also helps with the day to day business of the Group. Laura is the Church Secretary for Colyell Baptist Church in Colyell, Louisiana. Darren, Laura and their two children; Ashlyn and Chelsea live in Colyell, Louisiana and are members of Colyell Baptist Church.

Testimony
"When I was 9 years old I walked the aisle because all of my friends did it. I
just went through the motions, just like everybody else. Being the "preacher's kid" you needed to set the right example. Well, when I was in high school I realized that I was just fooling not only everybody else, but I was fooling
myself. But the one person whom I was not fooling was God. We had been
on several youth trips and God was speaking to me. I kept rejecting Him,
Saying "no, I'm saved." Well, one Sunday night, I was sitting there in Church
and our music director was singing, "By Faith" and boy did the water works
start. I just started crying uncontrollably and I could not stop. God was
speaking to me so loudly. "Tonight is the night." So I sat during my dad's sermon. I believe that was the hardest thing that I ever had to do. Finally
when it came time for the invitation, the pianist came forth and so did I. I
didn't even wait for the music to start. I practically ran down the aisle. I got to
my dad and he just grabbed me. He said, "Laura, I baptized you." I said,
"Yeah, but it didn't mean a thing." He said, "Ok, let's get this right." So that's when my life changed, forever, September 3, 1989, at Agape Baptist Church
in Walker, La."

Greg Sullivan (Vocals):

live in Holden, Louisiana and are members of New Life Baptist Church in Albany, Louisiana. Greg is an Advisory Programmer Analyst for Blue Cross
Blue Shield located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Testimony
"I have been involved with the Church all of my life. I can remember my Mom
and Dad taking me to Sunday School when I was five years old. At age 12 I walked the aisle and was baptized. I began singing and leading the choir, served on many committees and even taught Sunday School. As I got older
and out on my own I still went to Church but I was doing things my way. Then one morning in early 1994 I got up to go to work and I felt really ill. This went
on for months. I went to every Doctor and had every test ran to see what was wrong with me and nothing was ever found. Thursday morning August 25th, 1994, I got up to go to work and I just could not. I went back to sleep and at 10:00 am I woke up face down in the middle of my living room floor. I
cried out to God and He spoke to me and said that I knew about Him but I did not know Him. I asked Jesus to come into my heart and give me the 'heart knowledge instead of the head knowledge". He did and I made it public on Sunday morning August 28th. I was truly baptized several weeks later. There were people in Church that could not believe that I had held so many
positions in the Church and I was not saved. There are people today who
only have a head knowledge of Christ and a head knowledge will not get you
to Heaven. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father took care of me for those sixteen years that I thought everything was okay. I urge everyone to please
make that important decision and nail it down. I'm glad I did. I love Jesus
Christ with all of my heart and I am thankful for the privilege to be serving Him."

Glynn Fendlason (Vocals):

located in Hammond Louisiana. He and his wife Linda have eight children; Donald, Damon, Denise, Karen, Kimberly, Kalani, David and Darryl. They live
in Springfield Louisiana and attend Woodland Baptist Church in Springfield Louisiana.

Testimony
"I was saved when I was fourteen years old at a revival meeting in Baton
Rouge
. I was raised in a Christian home and dedicated to the Lord as an

infant. I attended Robert Church of God with my mother from birth until. I
married and moved to another location. I was baptized in Tangipahoa River.
My life has been built around the Church and service to my Master, Jesus Christ. He is Lord of my life."

Wallace May (Sound):
Biography
Wallace joined the Group in October 2005 and has been a great asset.
Wallace dearly loves Southern Gospel Music and has been a faithful follower
of the Group from its inception. He is doing an excellent job running the
sound for the Group and is very excited to be a part. He and his wife Janelle have two children; Jason and Jeffery. They live in Colyell Louisiana and are members of Colyell Baptist Church.

Testimony
"I have lived my life doing things that I truly regret. I have made some bad choices in life. God has had mercy and grace on me to allow me the
opportunity to accept him during my later years in life. Unlike my fellow Group members, I am a fairly new Christian. I didn't accept Christ until I turned 48. I was on my way to work one morning, I had already had a rough week at work.
I was searching for a radio station and stumbled on the Jimmy Swaggart Station. "Just as I Am" was playing. That is when God impressed upon me
that things were definitely not right in my life and that something was missing
- Him. My wife Jannelle is a preacher's daughter. So I live around church
going people. But I have just neglected it for so long. But that day, God just
had enough of my neglecting Him and He told me that it was time for me to
get my act straight. Later, when I arrived at work, I went out on the dock and it was just me and God. We had a long emotional conversation. It was there
that day where I told Him that I believed that He came from Heaven to die on
the cross for me, I asked Him to forgive me of my many sins, I said the
sinner's
prayer and asked him to come live in my heart forever. I have not

been the same since"
